Google Consent Mode v2 is designed to let websites tell Google's advertising systems whether a visitor has consented. When implemented correctly, no data should flow until consent is given. However, on the sites below, Google services were observed sending cookieless pings to Google servers before any consent was presented to the visitor. These pings include signals that Google uses to fill in data gaps — meaning visitor behaviour is shared with Google regardless of what the visitor ultimately chooses. Under the GDPR, sending personal data to a third party without a lawful basis is a violation. Each result is an automated, factual snapshot taken on the date shown, and links to a full report where the site owner can re-scan or report an error.
